Word on the street is that it’s international hummus day.
This wholesome side only takes a couple of minutes to make and works as a great snack or addition to many meals. Considering it’s base is made of chickpeas, it provides slow releasing carbohydrates, fibre and protein all working to keep you feeling full.
Plus chickpeas are low in fat, contain zero cholesterol and will contribute to both your important daily fibre & veg intake.
Throw some hummus in a wrap or wholemeal sandwich, have it as a snack or my all time favourite is adding it on top of a brown rice & bean combo.
