This is a perfect alternative for those who don't like to consume mock meats.
Made from simple and incredibly nutritious ingredients - lentils and walnuts!
1 x tin lentils (drained and rinsed well)
½ cup walnuts (toasted- optional)
⅛ tsp garlic powder
Pinch ( ⅛ tsp) of ground cumin
Salt & Pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp tomato paste
Hint of garlic powder
Hint of onion powder
Heat a pan on medium heat and place walnuts in a pan to toast for a few minutes
Combine all ingredients in food processor
Add oil to pan, place mince in the pan and cook until heated through and browned - use in place of mincemeat for recipes such as pasta sauce, taco fillings etc.
